Wildlife Under Threat

Fear at Home

The Story Behind this Piece

This drawing was inspired by a question I couldn’t stop thinking about: What happens when the place that’s meant to keep your family safe no longer does? The deep bond between a mother gorilla and her baby is filled with love, trust, and protection, yet their forests continue to disappear because of deforestation and human activity. Through Fear at Home, I wanted to tell the story of a family whose greatest fear is no longer survival in the wild – but losing the home they’ve always known.
