The Story Behind this Piece

An elephant mother’s greatest gift isn’t just protection – it’s the wisdom she passes on with every step. For years, her calf stays close, learning where to find water, how to navigate the landscape, and how to thrive within the herd. That extraordinary journey of trust and learning deeply inspired me. Safe in Her Steps is my tribute to a mother’s quiet guidance and the legacy she leaves behind.

WILDLIFE FACT

Elephants communicate using low-frequency rumbles, called infrasound, that can travel several miles, allowing family members to stay in touch even when they are far apart.
