The Story Behind this Piece

I created She Knows the Way because I was moved by the quiet strength of a mother cheetah raising her cubs alone. Their survival depends on her – on the choices she makes, the dangers she avoids and the path she chooses. I imagined her leading her cubs through an approaching storm, not knowing what lies ahead but continuing forward because they are depending on her. For me, the storm represents the uncertainty of life in the wild, while the mother represents instinct, courage and the determination to keep her young safe.

WILDLIFE FACT

Female cheetahs raise their cubs alone, teaching them how to hunt and survive before they become independent. Cheetah cubs face many dangers in the wild, so a mother’s protection and experience are essential during their first months of life.
